Please read these Terms and Conditions, along with the linked Privacy Policy, carefully. By using any of our services or making a purchase from our Retail Outlets or Scarlet by Shruti Jamaal website (www.shrutijamaal.com), you agree to accept and comply with these terms.
By engaging with us, using our services, or making any purchase, you acknowledge your agreement to be legally bound by these Terms. Additionally, you may be subject to further terms and conditions outlined in this agreement or additional service terms linked to specific product selections. In case of any conflict between these Terms and additional terms, the additional terms shall prevail.
In these Terms, references to “Customer” refer to the end user of the purchased product or anyone accessing the Website, its content, and utilizing the services offered. “Service Providers” refers to independent third-party providers, while “we”, “us”, “company”, and “our” refers to “Scarlet by Shruti Jamaal” or “Shruti Jamaal.”
Disclaimers
- All Shruti Jamaal creations are handcrafted with vintage fabrics, threads, sequins, zaris, etc.
These may have slight imperfections or irregularities, which are part of the charm and
uniqueness of each piece. - As per the designer’s approach, no two handcrafted pieces are identical. We want to ensure
that our clients understand that no two handmade pieces are ever the same. Scarlet by
Shruti Jamaal is not into repetition and mass production of outfits. Each creator craftsperson
brings their perspective, their life experience and a part of their soul to the pieces they
create. Each piece is unique. Each piece is individual. Each piece is handmade with love
Possibility of Color Variations
- The actual product may differ in color from the images displayed during virtual
consultations. - Different devices (monitors and mobiles) may display colors differently, and lighting
conditions at the time of the photo may impact the image’s color. - Colors in photos posted on social media platforms (like Instagram) are taken under
controlled lighting, which may differ from the product’s actual appearance. - Custom-made orders may also show color differences from samples due to variations in raw
materials, dyeing process, changes in yarns and more
Customizations and Modifications
- The cut of the outfit and the overall look may vary from sample, if specific changes have
been made in the sample as per the client’s requirement. - The neckline and shape of the neckline for various suits and lehenga blouses may change in
case there is a change in the neckline depth of the blouse or change in the style of the
neckline from the sample. - Incase client increases the sleeves length or lessens it, the embroidery might be extended or
reduced as required and will not be same as sample.
Trials and Alterations
In-store Deliveries:
- For fresh orders where customers are trying on outfits in-store where the client is taking an
in-store trial and delivery of the outfit, in case any minor alteration is required, alterations
for fittings will be done by our team before the final delivery of the outfit. - Major alterations that were not part of the original order or sample that is beyond normal
fitting and extends into changing the design or adding tassels, borders, cancan etc. which
was not part of the original order briefing or original sample, additional charges may apply
based on the scope of work. - For discounted or sale items, any alterations, finishings, or dry cleaning required after
purchase will be charged as per the factory rates.
Non-In-store Deliveries/ Shipped Orders:
We welcome & recommends clients to take instore trials before taking final delivery, we understand that it might not be possible always.
- Customers opting for shipped orders (including international or out-of-station deliveries)
where the outfit is being dispatched as per client request without trial at the store will
receive pictures and videos of their finished outfit before dispatch. - Consultant will also ensure that outfit is made as per the client measurements shared by the
client while placing the order. - After the outfit is dispatched and in case any additional alterations are required in such
cases, the client should get it done at the local level at their own cost. - In case the outfit requires major alterations that cannot be done at the local level and outfit
is to be altered by our team, the team will be happy to assist clients on the same. The
shipping charges and logistics for sending and collecting store are to be borne - Shipping costs for returns or exchanges for alterations after dispatch will be the client’s
responsibility.
Price Changes and Payments
- Prices for Shruti Jamaal outfits may change without prior notice. If you’ve already placed an
order with full or partial payment, the price at the time of booking will apply. - Orders are processed only once full payment is received and credited to the company’s account.
International Orders
- The orders are only processed once payment is credited in company’s account.
- Delivery dates shared at the time of purchase are estimates and may vary based on receiving
50% advance payment and customer measurements. - In case of any minor client should communicate with consultant in written (via WhatsApp)
before dispatch, Consultants can do minor fitting modifications based on new change. - 6. No alterations will be made that requires any design modifications to the neckline,
sleeves, - Blouse/Kurti Length etc.
- 7. Consultants will match the measurements of the outfit with the order sheet with client
when dispatching the order. - 8. Once delivery of the outfit is accepted it cannot be returned, exchanged or altered
Alterations
Any alterations should be agreed upon before the final delivery. Any alterations / finishing /dry
cleaning after delivery will be chargeable depending on the scope of the work.
- In case of any alterations that are required in the outfit once the outfit is delivered to the client,
the back-and-forth logistics/shipping charges shall be borne by the client. Shruti Jamaal team will be
responsible for alteration. - Incase any major alteration is required by the client that changes the scope of work on design
front of the outfit, the imply, the same shall be communicated with consultant at the time alteration
request. Such alteration requests have to be done on an additional cost. (Example, additional border
required on the blouse/ hem of the kurti increasing the embroidery in any part of the outfit)
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Orders once placed cannot be canceled, and no changes will be accepted after the order is
confirmed. - Advances paid are non-refundable and cannot be converted into credit notes or applied to
future orders.
Website Order Payments
- All website orders are processed once 100% payment is received.
- The orders are only processed once payment is credited in company’s account and not on the
basis of transfer. - Company is not responsible for delay in receipt of international payments as it’ not in Company’s
direct control. - Consultants will share once the acknowledgement with clients once the payment is received.
Payments Terms
- For non-website orders-online or through offline store advance amount for NEFT/RTGS/bank
transfers/ Card payment orders is minimum 50% for orders. - All orders are processed only when minimum advance amount is received (Received is considered
once the payment is reflecting in
(SHRUTI JAMAAL” s Account) - For all everyday wear outfits cash/card payment shall be given in 100% advance.
- For all Ready to wear outfits, payments to be made 100% in advance at the time of purchase, any
alterations to the ready outfit will be initiated post receipt of 100% advance payment. - In case of customized outfits, 100% advance is charged at the time of order. Orders are processed
once the advance amount is received (Received is considered once the payment is reflecting in
SHRUTI JAMAAL Account) - In case of delay in advance payment, the delivery date will shift forward in accordance to the
same. - If payment or part of the payment is withheld by the customer, the company retains the right to
hold the delivery and handover of the outfits. - Delivery will be done once the complete payment is received and applicable shipping charges are
received by SHRUTI JAMAAL (Received is considered once the payment is reflecting in
SHRUTI JAMAAL Account).
Customization Charges
- The company does not undertake changes or customization in any order and order is taken as per
any given sample. However, minor adjustments as per the client’s measurements or requirements
can be accommodated where possible based upon mutual agreement. - Customization charges are extra and charged to the client over and above the outfit price
depending on the scope - Once scope of work if with relevant customization or add-ons is agreed upon, final price will be
quoted. Second dupatta/head veil or any add-ons not included in store sample will be charged over
& above the tag price. - Prices can vary as per size and scope of work and the same shall be intimated at the time of
placing the order. - No add-ons like potlis, belt, kaliras, clutch, mask, veil, extra dupatta etc can be added once order
has been confirmed and signed off by the client.
General Terms
- Shruti Jamaal does not provide sampling or embroidered swatches, but base color cuttings
- If the customer’s size changes between placing the order and delivery, the company will not
be held liable, and additional charges may apply. - Every effort will be made to accommodate all requirements of the customer or specific
customization to the sample shown. It may not be possible to implement all of them and the
same shall be communicated by the consultant. - Once the order is confirmed and signed off, it cannot be returned, exchanged or altered.
Shipping and Logistics
- Customers choosing shipped delivery will have shipping costs applied separately from the
outfit price. - Brand gives the option of courier services and the same is optional, clients can choose to
arrange their own logistics services for delivery. - Shipping costs for Domestic courier is done as free &International are not included in the
outfit price and are charged rate and surcharges. - The company is not liable for delays due to holidays, weather conditions, or courier delays.
Tracking details will be shared once the item is dispatched. - Company uses DHL/FedEx for International deliveries.
- In case of government restrictions affecting production or delivery, the delivery date will be
revised accordingly. In case of any lockdown or working restriction imposed by the
government that hampers the day-to-day functioning of the factory and artisans, the
delivery date of the outfit will be revised based on the readiness of the outfit.Deferred date
will be calculated based on the number of days such lockdown/restriction was imposed for +

Intellectual Property Rights
- All intellectual property rights related to the website, Instagram handle “Shruti Jamaal,” and
associated content are owned by Scarlet by Shruti Jamaal. - Clients are prohibited from using, reproducing, or distributing any content from these
platforms without prior consent from the company.
